Effective means of "apostasizing" at conventions and assemblies?
by stillstuckcruz ini notice most apostates will picket signs or try to place their own literature with the witnesses.
i cant see how the latter is effective since jw's are so heavily bombarded with warnings about apostate literature.
i was thinking that an effective strategy might be printing out lots of copies of older and current magazines, highlighting specific phrases and words, and stapling them together to show the obvious inconsistency of the wt.

There is no good (legal) way to deconvert a cult member. Best way to hurt the Borg is education to keep those who get DFd or fade naturally from ever returning and educate the unindoctrinated to protect them from ever joining.
There are what, 60,000 a year who are DFd from the Borg? How many of them learn that the Watchtower is not God's Organization? They ALL need to.

Some JWs are exhibiting signs of violence because of WT hate speech. Read the threat to me and others posted at Topix yesterday
by AndersonsInfo inyesterday, i opened a topix account so i could post the information about watch tower representatives attending the political ocse meeting in poland for two weeks and the proof that they are an ngo.
one of the posters responded with these words: .
"barbs-info," eh?

What happened to " vengeance is mine, I shall repay saith the Lord". What he do, give these guys his checkbook?
I have often thought that about all radical religious extremists. "What, your all-powerful God can't fight his own battles? He needs the likes of you people to kill for him? Sounds like a wuss to me."

Dub snubbed by my two best JW friends! :(
by TimothyT inhahahahahahahahahaha!!!.
apart from it being frightfuly rude and ignorant, its actualy very funny and rather pathetic.
i really pity these poor people who's lives are ruled by fear.. across the road from where i was working today lives one of my 'very good jw friends' who no longer has anything to do with me.

Know what I like? I like that you put the on the "Dub snubbed" subject line. Good for you. Sad for them.
If they don't manage to discover the truth, they have another 60 years or more of broken Watchtower promises to live through, then they'll die bitter and still hoping for whatever the noo lite promise is at that time.
You, on the other hand, have another 60 years or more of freedom.
EPIC WIN, TIMMY!

Now that the S**t is hitting the fan how are the JW's reacting??
by highdose inthis article is starting to go global now i think ( please everyone keep it spreading) how are the jw's reacting to it?
i don't mean the offical spokesman statement, i mean the individual jw's that we know.. what are they saying about it?.

Exactly. If a faithful JW rejects him, he's rejecting official Borg dogma. If a faithful JW accepts him, he's obviously accepting a loony stance. It's brilliant. I wish I thought of it.

What do they get out of this?
by MisfitMeL inmaybe this has been discussed before but i'm starting to wonder why it is so important for wts to keep such a tight control over its members?.
is it because the gb and other folk in upper management are so delusional and psychotic, that they believe in the rubbish they spout?.
or is someone somewhere getting something (financially) out of this?.

I hate to have to address this time and again but just because the wealth is not in an individual's name doesn't mean they aren't filthy stinking rich. The corporation is worth BILLIONS and the leadership has access to goods and services most of us could not afford.
How many of you here can afford a luxury apartment in New York City WITHOUT HAVING TO WORK AT A JOB?
How many of you here can fly ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD WHENEVER YOU FEEL LIKE IT and the only cost to you personally is an hour of your time to give a talk, then you can spend the rest of your week vacationing and getting "green handshakes" from your devoted groupies?
How many of you have access to a fleet of well-maintained luxury cars that you can use whenever you want to go wherever you want WTHOUT HAVING TO PAY for gas, insurance, maintenance, or even the car itself.
How many of you get EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR MEALS FOR FREE? FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?
Do NOT tell me the Governing Body isn't rich. I work for a living. I know better.

Walsh's post was great, whether he's really a Dub or not, because if a JW reads it and thinks - he's lying, he's nuts, he's an apostate - then they also have to face exactly what he said that isn't part of their official doctrine.
Because everything he said is true for them, or it is supposed to be from the GB's perspective.

Excommunicated Apostates Are Waiting ...
by compound complex inhttp://www.digitaljournal.com/article/312040.
jehovah's witnesses may have gone too far by claiming in the official watchtower magazine that former witnesses who leave the sect are "mentally diseased".
police in the uk have launched an inquiry as the sect may have breached religious hatred laws.

I like that they put the "many needless deaths" of blood transfusion refusal in the article, but I would LOVE to see the number quantified in some way. I have never really seen a tally of blood deaths. Common sense says there must be many but common sense doesn't work on cult members.

Remember, cults become more extreme over time. Especially when failed predictions and faults become more known. The leadership tightens the noose on the followers, and ups the rhetoric. Becuase you are making the faults known, the Watchtower tries to make the apostates as enemy #1. This is alot like Nazi Germany, where the government had to make propaganda against the Jews so as to make it easier to justify the mass killing. And, so the Watchtower is making apostates the villians. As such, it only takes one crazed Jehovah's Witness to shoot.
I think this statement from page one bears repeating.
Thanks for all you do, Barbara. Stay safe. They're fighting a losing battle and somewhere deep inside they know it. They're all full of pent-up frustration.

Public Contempt of JWs Not Tolerated
by compound complex inan italian attorney and priest published accusations that jehovah's witnesses are a pseudoreligious sect and among secret societies that entrap people.
jehovah's witnesses in italy took legal action due to the nature of the defamatory statements.
the venice court of appeals, 17 july 1997, having overruled an earlier court decision favorable to the defendants, found said defendants guilty: both of the published articles in question contain expressions and phrases that are certainly capable of damaging the reputation of the followers of the religion of jehovah's witnesses.

I would be interested in seeing exactly what they wrote about the Borg.
